Decision Intelligence

AI ambition is scaling faster than the systems built to deliver it.

Porter X operates across the full AI economy, from the infrastructure that powers it to the products enterprises deploy on top of it. We help organizations make critical decisions before capital is committed, and deliver AI products that actually ship after it is.

The AI economy problem

The same coordination failure,
at both ends of the AI economy.

Parties who need each other to succeed are making decisions in isolation. On the infrastructure side, the result is stranded capital, missed timelines, and coordination failures no single party can fix alone. Inside the enterprise, the same failure takes a different form: pilots everywhere, products nowhere. The gap between AI ambition and AI delivery is now the defining constraint on both ends.

8 years
Average time from interconnection application to commercial operation in PJM, up from under two years in 2008. Data centers that need power now cannot wait.
RMI, 2026 ↗
~50%
Of US data centers scheduled to open in 2026 are expected to face delays or cancellations. Power availability is the primary constraint.
Sightline Climate / Bloomberg, 2026 ↗
128 weeks
Average lead time for power transformers in the US. Capital is committed years before the equipment needed to deploy it can arrive.
Wood Mackenzie, 2025 ↗
267%
Increase in wholesale electricity prices over five years in areas near significant data center activity. Data centers are projected to consume up to 12% of total US electricity by 2028.
Bloomberg / RBC, 2026 ↗ · LBNL / DOE, 2024 ↗

Decision Intelligence is the discipline of coordinating these decisions across parties, constraints, and capital: before anything irreversible is committed, and until something real is delivered.

Inside the enterprise

AI products that actually ship.

Porter X works inside large, regulated, knowledge-intensive enterprises, including legal and professional services, financial services, and government-adjacent organizations, leading AI product delivery from mandate to production. These are the environments where the gap between ambition and delivery is widest, and where a demo is not a deployment.

Use Case 1
Enterprise AI
Product Delivery
The enterprise's constraint
A mandate to move fast on AI, on platforms and workflows that weren't built for it
Every function wants AI; no one owns sequencing across products, platform, and risk
Pilots multiply while production deployments stall
PORTER
The Delivery Layer
Embeds inside the enterprise, leading AI product delivery from use case to production
Sequences product, platform, and governance decisions so they reinforce rather than block each other
Translates executive intent into working products the organization actually uses
The outcome
Deployed,
Not Demoed
What changes
AI products live in real workflows, with real adoption and owners, not demo environments
A platform architecture that supports the next ten products, not just the first
Governance that enables speed instead of throttling it

Fast AI product delivery is not a technology problem. It is a coordination problem, across products, platforms, governance, and the people who have to trust all three.

Behind the enterprise

The infrastructure that makes AI possible.

Every AI product sits on compute, and every unit of compute sits on power. On the infrastructure side, Porter X helps energy operators, capital investors, and compute developers make better decisions before capital is committed. The coordination problem is the same on both ends, and seeing both at once is what makes Porter X different.

Use Case 2a
Energy Transition
Architecture™
The energy company's constraint
Needs high compute demand anchor to justify facility investment
Supply infrastructure exists, long-term demand commitment is the missing piece
Capital investment only becomes defensible once the right demand commitment is in place
PORTER
The Coordination Layer
Brings the right key players from both sides to the table
Defines the terms of engagement before capital is committed on either side
Sequences decisions so neither party commits before the full picture is understood
Use Case 2b
AI Infrastructure
Alignment
The compute operator's constraint
Needs off-grid power now with a defined clean energy pathway
Requires a supply partner with demonstrated capability in the intended energy pathway
Carbon commitments need more than intent, they need a credible supply structure

Porter X has visibility into both ends of the AI economy simultaneously: the products enterprises need and the infrastructure they depend on. That structural position is what makes better decisions possible.

About Porter X

Built by someone who has operated
at the intersection of all of it.

Alexandra Porter founded Porter X after nearly a decade operating at the intersection of data systems, enterprise infrastructure, and complex multi-stakeholder environments in the federal government, where she saw the same coordination failures play out at scale, and led delivery through them.

Porter X was built to close the gap between ambition and delivery: standing up AI products inside demanding enterprises, and helping the parties behind the infrastructure make decisions that hold up. The same framework applies wherever significant demand meets constrained systems: AI today, and whatever demand type emerges next.

The team

Porter X deploys a curated pool of senior experts assembled specifically for each engagement. This group has delivered together at the C-suite level inside major federal agencies. Proven collaborators, not a loose network of independent advisors.
